White House Motto: "OPINION FOR SALE"

We ALL KNEW it was TRUE... NOW WATCH THE VIDEO!

See GOP and Bush lobbyist, Stephen Payne, offering access to key figures in Bush's administration, for opinion spinning, in return for large six-figure donations in part for the private "Bush library".
"The exact budget I will come up with, but it will be somewhere between $600,000 and $750,000, with about a third of it going directly to the Bush library," said Payne, who sits on the US homeland security advisory council.

Payne, who claims to have raised more than $1m for the president's Republican party in recent years, said he would arrange meetings with Dick Cheney, the vice-president, Condoleezza Rice, the secretary of state, and other senior officials in return for a payment of $250,000 towards the library in Texas.Payne, who has accompanied Bush and Cheney on several foreign trips, also said he would try to secure a meeting with the President himself.

What DID GOP really think of McCain? (MOST FLAWED EVER?)

JOHN McCAIN
THE MOST FLAWED PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN HISTORY

It is now clear that what is left of the Republicon Party, after being fatally poisoned by the Bush administration, intents to commit suicide by nominating Senator John McCain (R-Hanoi) for the presidency. Where do I start?

Biggest Refiner in North America BUSTED fixing Prices

The largest North American refiner, Valero Energy Corporation of Texas (imagine that), retail outlets busted for fixing gas prices. Criminal charges have been laid against 13 people and 11 companies accused of fixing the price of gas including at the Ultramar chain, owned by Valero, in Quebec. Other retailers involved include Shell, Esso, Petro-Canada and Irving oil. The gas retailers called each other to agree on prices. The Competition Bureau also states the investigation into price-fixing in other Canadian retail gas markets is continuing. WE ALL KNEW THIS WAS COMING, NOW DIDN'T WE? MORE TO FOLLOW ON THIS STORY.... I'M SURE.

Mr. Vegas: Johnny "Married to the Mob" McCain

John's OLD BOSS & DADDY-IN-LAW, James Hensley, was BAD BOY with crimes of illicit booze, gambling, and probably  murder. With Johnny boys love of craps, play in fourteen-hour stints, how DEEP could he be in with this family? Wes Gullett, a close friend who worked for McCain for years, said they used to play craps in Las Vegas standing at the tables from 10 a.m. until midnight.

It starts in 1948 with the Hensley brothers, Eugene and Jim, being convicted of falsifying records to conceal the illegal distribution of hundreds of cases of liquor. The sales occurred from 1945 to 1947, postwar years when liquor was rationed and in short supply.

James Hensley was convicted by a federal jury in U.S. District Court of Arizona in March 1948 on seven counts of filing false liquor records. Hensley also was charged with conspiracy to hide from federal authorities the names of persons involved in a liquor industry racket with two companies he managed, United Sales Company in Phoenix and United Distributors in Tucson. The umbrella company, United Liquor, at that time held a monopoly in Arizona, organized and managed by Kemper Marley, who was accused of mob ties by a reporter who was murdered in 1977.
